Nader Saeivar (*1975 in Tabriz) is an Iranian writer and director who started his career in 1992 with short films. He won the best screenplay award in Cannes 2018 for 3 Faces (2018) alongside Jafar Panahi. He holds a master's degree from the University of Tehran and teaches at various institutes and universities. Jafar Panâhi (screenplay) is an Iranian director, screenwriter and editor. His feature film The White Balloon (1995) won the Caméra d'Or at the Cannes Film Festival. His films are often banned in Iran, but he continues to receive international acclaim. In 2010, he was sentenced to six years in prison and barred from his profession for 20 years.
