Andrew Huculiak’s first film, VIOLENT, was shot in Norway and mostly in Norwegian, a language none of the crew spoke. Lauded by Hollywood Reporter for "hurling a brick for Canadian newcomers", VIOLENT won Best Canadian Film, Best BC Film at VIFF as well as 8 Leos including Best Motion Picture, Best Direction, Best Screenwriting. His follow-up, ASH, captured the worst wildfires ever in British Columbia.
