Heather Kessinger began her artistic career as a still photographer, but later adopted filmmaking as an extension of her passion for telling visual stories. In 2010 she directed a short documentary, IN THE SHADOW OF BUDDHA, which takes us beyond the idealized world of Tibetan Buddhism and into the unexpectedly controversial lives of Tibetan nuns. She won numerous awards, including a 2011 Golden Palm Award for Documentary Film and the 2011 International Religion Today “Best Documentary” and “Women’s Issues” awards. THE MOST FEARLESS is her directorial debut for a feature documentary.
