Kristina Cyan

Interdisciplinary artist Kristina Cyan (born 1988 in USSR) is based in Vienna and graduated in BA Arts/Design in St.-Petersburg and MA Art Theory in the ICA Moscow. She is studying Media Art in the Academy Fine Arts Vienna. Her artistic practice focuses on intersection of (media-/bio-) technology, politics of images, feminist and environmental studies: technology is not only a tool, but raises questions of information, identities, public sphere and politics. These issues affect fragmented perception of reality and this is the area, where aesthetical issues became a challenge of ethics.
