Denique LeBlanc is a UK-based Canadian singer, songwriter, fiddler, record producer, and filmmaker. In 2019, his debut album SHAPE 1 won the ECMA for Electronic Recording of the Year. A magnetic and multi-dimensional performer, he walks the tightrope between mainstream and experimental, fusing technology, fashion, video and visual art with traditional Celtic fiddling, layered vocals, and lyrics that speak directly to his experience as an international artist.
Following the release of SHAPE 1, Denique performed all over Canada and was invited to headline Hong Kong Pride 2018. That performance yielded his return to the Far East to perform at the 2019 Giorgio Armani New Years Eve celebration in China. After his ECMA win, he was invited by RuPaul's team at World of Wonder to showcase at Rupaul's DragCon Los Angeles, New York City and London. In 2021, he was awarded the Concept to Realization grant from the Canada Council for the Arts, fully funding his upcoming project called SHAPE 2: AUDIOVISUAL ALBUM, set for release in 2023.
His performance at the B3 Biennial Biennial of the Moving Image will be his first live performance in Germany.
