TACTILE PALACES is a series of hypnotic digital animations where a hand in a velvet glove caresses pieces of interior architecture from iconic European palaces such as the Louvre. The series draws on the disconnect between the tangible and virtual while commenting on desire and wealth in the digital age.
Jonathan Monaghan is an artist working across a range of media, including prints, sculptures and computer-animated videos, to produce otherworldly objects and narratives.
